Liverpool keeping tabs on Francisco Conceição as Salah replacement plan takes shape

Liverpool are reportedly keeping a close eye on Juventus winger Francisco Conceição as they continue to explore options for the future of their attack.

The Portugal international has emerged as another name on Liverpool’s radar, with the Reds looking at different possibilities following Mohamed Salah’s departure from Anfield.

Conceição is understood to be viewed as a player who could offer some of the qualities Liverpool have been missing since Salah’s exit. His ability to play from the right, take on defenders and create opportunities has reportedly caught the attention of the club.

There have already been reports linking Liverpool with Conceição as they search for a long-term solution on the right side of their attack.

The 23-year-old has also been compared with Michael Olise because of his style of play, particularly his close control, creativity and ability to operate in wide areas before moving inside.

Liverpool’s attacking options have changed considerably, with Bradley Barcola arriving from Paris Saint-Germain during the summer. Barcola is naturally more comfortable on the left, while several of Liverpool’s other attacking players also prefer that side of the pitch.

That has raised questions about how manager Andoni Iraola could structure his attack if another right-sided winger arrives.

One possible idea being discussed is to use Barcola predominantly from the left while bringing in a specialist right winger capable of occupying the position previously dominated by Salah.

Conceição would therefore provide Liverpool with another option on the right, while allowing Barcola to play in the position where he is generally considered most comfortable.

However, it remains unclear whether Liverpool will make a formal move for the Juventus winger. The current reports point towards monitoring and interest rather than an agreement or advanced negotiations.

What is clear is that Liverpool continue to assess attacking options, and Conceição is now being mentioned among the players who could potentially play an important role in the post-Salah era.

For Liverpool supporters, the biggest question will be whether the club eventually decides that Conceição is the player capable of taking over the right-wing position and helping fill the enormous attacking void left by Salah.
