Barcelona Identify Villarreal Star as Future Transfer Target

Barcelona are reportedly keeping a close eye on Villarreal attacker Alberto Moleiro as they continue to plan for the future.

According to reports from ElNacional.cat, the Spanish giants have placed the 22-year-old among their preferred transfer targets, with sporting director Deco said to be a big admirer of the player.

Moleiro has attracted attention because of his versatility in attack. He is capable of playing in a central role but can also operate from the left side, giving him the flexibility to fit into different attacking systems.

That versatility is reportedly one of the reasons why Barcelona are interested in keeping tabs on his progress.

The Catalan club are not said to be rushing into an immediate deal, but Moleiro is viewed as a player who could become an important option for the future if Barcelona decide to strengthen their attacking department.

Interestingly, the player himself is reportedly open to the idea of joining Barcelona. Moleiro is said to favour a move to the Catalan giants over other potential offers should the club eventually make a serious approach.

For now, there is no indication that a transfer is imminent, and Barcelona would still need to decide whether to turn their interest into formal negotiations.

However, with Deco reportedly keen on the midfielder, Moleiro’s name could become one to watch closely in the coming transfer windows.
