Manchester United have reportedly joined Arsenal and Chelsea in monitoring highly-rated Norwegian teenager Gabriel Rajkovic, who has been attracting attention with his performances for Valerenga.
According to FootballTransfers on Friday, September 18, 2026, several major European clubs are keeping a close eye on the 15-year-old, with United, Arsenal and Chelsea among those interested in his development.
Rajkovic has already been compared with Martin Odegaard because of the attention he has attracted at such a young age. Odegaard also rose to prominence as a teenager in Norway before making a name for himself at the highest level.
Rajkovic made his first-team debut for Valerenga in January at just 14 years old. He then made his competitive debut in March, shortly after turning 15, and has continued to make an impression whenever he has been given the opportunity.
The young forward has scored twice for the club in his first two months of goalscoring form, finding the net in August and September. Although he has not yet established himself as a regular starter, he has featured in every match since May.
FootballTransfers reports that Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Barcelona are among the clubs monitoring his situation. However, there is currently no clear frontrunner for his signature.
Norwegian outlet TV2 has suggested that Manchester United and Barcelona could have an advantage. United may benefit from Rajkovic’s reported support for the club, while Barcelona could potentially move for him once he turns 16.
For now, though, Rajkovic remains focused on Valerenga. There has been no formal transfer offer and the teenager is not currently pushing for a move away from the Norwegian club.
A potential transfer in 2027 could also set a new record for the most expensive Eliteserien export, with reports claiming that Valerenga would demand more than €20 million for their teenage star.
TV2 also reports that several major European clubs are monitoring Rajkovic closely. Manchester United scouts were reportedly present when he scored against Sarpsborg earlier this month.
Internationally, Rajkovic reportedly prefers to represent Norway despite being eligible to play for Serbia, Belgium or Morocco through his family background.
With some of Europe’s biggest clubs already watching his progress, Rajkovic’s future is becoming an increasingly interesting story. For now, however, Valerenga remain focused on developing the teenager while the growing transfer interest continues to build around him.
