Arsenal youngster Max Dowman has continued to attract attention after making his England Under-19 debut during the international break.
The 16-year-old made an instant impact, scoring the winning goal as England secured a 1-0 victory over the Republic of Ireland.
Dowman found the back of the net in the 70th minute to give England the lead. He was substituted just 11 minutes later after playing an important role in securing the result.
It was another encouraging moment for a player who has been generating plenty of excitement around Arsenal.
Clubs Showing Interest in Dowman
Dowman’s latest performance is likely to increase the interest surrounding his future.
According to TEAMtalk’s Graeme Bailey, more than a dozen clubs have already contacted Arsenal about the possibility of taking the midfielder on loan in January.
The timing could be particularly significant because Dowman will turn 17 on December 31. That means he will be eligible to sign a professional contract when the January transfer window opens the following day.
A loan move could give the teenager an opportunity to play more regularly and gain valuable senior experience, although Arsenal will ultimately decide what is best for his development.

Dowman has already trained with Mikel Arteta’s first-team squad at Arsenal, highlighting the club’s belief in his ability.
For a player still only 16, being involved around the senior squad represents a major step and could provide him with further opportunities to impress the Arsenal manager.
Whether he remains at the Emirates or temporarily moves elsewhere in January will depend on how Arsenal assess his development over the coming months.

England Under-21 head coach Lee Carsley has acknowledged the youngster’s potential and explained that Dowman will eventually make the step up to the Under-21 setup when the timing is right.
Carsley stressed that the decision is not necessarily about whether Dowman is good enough at his current level. Instead, it is about choosing the right moment for his development.
He also revealed that he regularly speaks with England senior manager Thomas Tuchel about squad selections.
More Opportunities Ahead
Dowman will have further opportunities to impress during the current international break.
England Under-19s are scheduled to face Norway and the United States this week before taking on Belgium next Monday.
His winning goal against the Republic of Ireland has already put more attention on the Arsenal youngster, and his performances in the coming games will be closely watched.
