Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly keeping a close eye on Freiburg striker Igor Matanovic as the young forward continues to impress in Germany.
The 23-year-old has made an excellent start to the season, scoring six goals in seven appearances. His early-season form has reportedly attracted the attention of several Premier League clubs, with United, Arsenal and Chelsea among those monitoring his situation.
According to TEAMtalk, the three clubs could consider making a move for Matanovic either during the January transfer window or next summer, depending on how his form develops over the coming months.
Freiburg, however, are not under any immediate pressure to sell their striker. Matanovic is contracted with the Bundesliga club until 2029, giving Freiburg a strong position when it comes to negotiations.
The club are believed to value the forward at around £50 million, meaning any interested Premier League side would have to make a significant investment to convince Freiburg to part ways with him.
For Manchester United, the interest could be linked to their desire to have more options in attack, while Arsenal and Chelsea are also continuing to monitor forwards who could strengthen their squads in the future.
Matanovic now has an opportunity to build on his impressive start and prove that his early goals are more than just a short-term run of form.
With three major Premier League clubs reportedly watching him and Freiburg setting a sizeable price tag, the striker could become one of the names to watch closely in the upcoming transfer windows.
