Liverpool have been handed an early injury concern after Alexander Isak withdrew from the Sweden national team camp following a minor fitness issue.
The striker was involved for Sweden in their 2–1 UEFA Nations League victory over Romania on Friday, where he made his mark by scoring the opening goal of the game.
However, Isak has now left Graham Potter’s squad as a precaution and will return to Liverpool to undergo further assessment by the club’s medical team.
At this stage, the issue is not believed to be a serious injury, with the decision to withdraw him from international duty understood to have been taken to avoid aggravating the problem.
