Chelsea could reportedly be forced to pay almost twice as much if they decide to make a move for AS Roma midfielder Manu Koné during the January transfer window.

Chelsea Could Have Signed Koné for £43m

That decision could now prove costly if Chelsea return for the player in January.
Roma are reportedly prepared to increase their asking price to around £86 million, meaning Chelsea could potentially have to pay roughly double the amount that was previously available.

Koné has continued to attract attention because of his qualities in midfield, and Roma are understood to be aware of the growing interest in the Frenchman.
